BOOKING YOUR STAY
Please contact us via email or telephone to request a booking. Our booking form will be forwarded to you by email or by post.
Telephone/e-mail bookings will remain firm, provided that we receive your booking form and the deposit payment within five days. The booking is not confirmed until the deposit is received.
If the booking is made six weeks before the date of your holiday, the non-refundable deposit due is 25%. Final payment is due six weeks prior to the commencing date of your holiday.
If the booking is made less than six weeks before the commencing date of your holiday, the full amount is due.
Upon receipt of the deposit we will send acknowledgement via e-mail or post. Upon receipt of the final payment you will be informed about check-in procedures.
If you have to cancel your holiday, you will be liable for any cancellation charges – see Conditions of Hire. In your best interest, we advise you to take out holiday cancellation insurance (for example see https://www.guestfirst.co.uk/).
CONDITIONS OF HIRE
The Contract of Hire is between the Hirer and the Owner of the holiday cottage for which the booking is made and is subject to the conditions listed below:
When the booking confirmation has been sent, the Hirer is responsible for the total price of the holiday. Non-returnable deposit of 25% the total cost is payable on booking. If full payment is not received six weeks prior to arrival, the Owner may elect to terminate the Contract.
Booking Cancellations: In the unfortunate event of you having to cancel your holiday, please notify us by telephone immediately, followed by written confirmation. Upon cancellation within six weeks of the commencement of your holiday, the whole amount will be forfeited. Upon cancellation of more than six weeks before the commencement of your holiday, the deposit will be retained to cover administration costs. In your best interest we advise you to take out Holiday Cancellation Insurance, eg https://www.guestfirst.co.uk/.
You can check-in from 4pm on the arrival date of your holiday and you are kindly requested to check-out by 10am on the day of departure.
The Hirer is required to report any loss or damage caused to the cottage or equipment during their occupancy and it is their legal responsibility to refund the cost prior to departure.
The Owner retains the right to access the cottages without prior notice if we need access for Electricians, Plumbers etc.
Both cottages are totally non-smoking.
Children are very welcome. Parents/Guardians must take full responsibility for their children at all times. Children play at their own risk.
No more than the maximum number of guests specified may occupy the cottage. If it is found that the number of people quoted for has been exceeded, the booking becomes null and void and would terminate any responsibility of the Owner to fulfil the hire Contract. All money paid would be forfeited to the Owner.
The Owner is not responsible for death or injury to guests or third parties, for loss or damage to their belongings, vehicles (whatever the weather) or contents, or any other personal possessions. They are left at owner’s risk. No refund can be given due to snow or bad weather.
The booking is made on the understanding that the cottage will be placed at the disposal of the Hirer on the dates stated. If this is not possible because of circumstances beyond the Owners control, the holiday money will be refunded in full. There can be no claim against the Owner.
Complaints – Should you find any fault or have any complaints during your stay, please advise us immediately so that any remedial action can be taken. Any complaints that cannot be dealt with during your stay must be emailed to us within 28 days of your stay.
The Hirer is responsible for the cottage and is expected to take good care of it. All equipment, especially the cooker and fridge, crockery and cutlery must be left clean and the cottage must be left clean and tidy at the end of the hire period. The Hirer must accept responsibility for extra cleaning costs if necessary.
We welcome a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs. Owners are asked to consider carefully whether their dogs are suited to be staying on a working farm and are not likely to be a threat to any livestock. Owners must ensure that their dogs are properly controlled and supervised at all times. We have a designated paddock which dogs can be exercised off the lead under owner supervision. Dogs must not be left unattended at the cottage at any time. Dogs are not permitted in any of the bedrooms or on any of the furniture. Owners are advised to bring the dog’s bed and blankets. Dogs must be up to date with flea & worming treatments (please ask for full Terms & Conditions).
The Hirer cannot guarantee that there have been no pets in the cottage, nor does the Hirer accept any liability for any suffering caused to allergy sufferers as a result of such pets having been present.
Terms & Conditions apply to use of free wi-fi. Data is limited. ‘Streaming’, watching videos online (eg youtube) or downloading music (eg i-tunes) regrettably not permitted, as is downloading or uploading large files. The Owner cannot guarantee the availability of service.
